Jody Santoro is a highly energetic and dynamic person. She began her work with children with special needs working for a behavior company as a team leader. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at University of California, Santa Cruz. She returned to school at the University of Southern California to gain her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Her level one fieldwork was in Ghana, Africa working with children who live in orphanages there. Her other level one experience was at Dominican Hospital in an acute rehab, adult physical disabilities unit. Jody’s level two fieldwork was at Easter Seals in Ventura working with children birth to three years of age, with various developmental difficulties and or at risk status. This included work in the clinic and the children’s home and/or community environments. Her second level two is in the Simi Valley School District, where she will be experiencing educational occupational therapy.
Jody is dedicated and has an amazing gift at seeing the whole picture as it relates the family and the child’s environment. This insight is imperative and assists her greatly in following through on treatment plans that she has written up under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
